Recessed Cabinets, Drywall and Bad Backs

Coinciding with my participation in Apartment Therapy’s Kitchen Cure, replacing one of the damaged plaster walls in the kitchen has become part of my “special project” to improve the kitchen aesthetically. I’d say this wall definitely needed to improve its look!

Remember these corner cabinets from the dining room?

We removed them when we had the floors refinished before moving in. I intended to refinish them and use them elsewhere since our bookcases now reside in the dining room. There’s really no other place for the bookcases, and they fit perfectly.
